چکیده

The thermal decomposition reaction of acetone cyclic diperoxide (ACDP) in 1-octanol (OCT) solution, at the temperatures and initial concentration ranges of 130° -166 oC and (0.94-3.00) x 10 mol/L , respectively, follows a pseudo-first order kinetic law. Acetone is the main organic decomposition product observed. The activation parameters values of the initial reaction step (ΔH = 25.8 ± 0.3 kcal/mol; ΔS = -19.1 ± 0.6 cal/mol K; Ea = 26.6 ± 0.3 kcal/mol), support a reaction mechanism which includes a homolytic rupture of one peroxidic L. C. A. Leiva et al 112 bond of the ACDP molecule with participation of the solvent and involving a biradical intermediate.

Thermal decomposition reaction of acetone triperoxide in toluene solution

The thermal decomposition reaction of acetone cyclic triperoxide (3,3,6,6,9,9-hexamethyl-1,2,4,5,7,8-hexaoxacyclononane, ACTP) in the temperature range of 130.0-166.0 degrees C and an initial concentration of 0.021 M has been studied in toluene solution. The thermolysis follows first-order kinetic laws up to at least ca. 78% acetone triperoxide conversion. Under the experimental conditions, a r...

Solvent Effect of Oxygen in the Thermolisys Decomposition of the Acetone Diperoxide

In this paper, the kinetics of the thermal decomposition reaction of 3,3,6,6-tetramethyl-1,2,4,5 tetroxane (ACDP) is investigated in various oxygen solvents at different temperatures. Linear relationships are observed between the enthalpy and entropy of activation of the unimolecular reactions of those diperoxides. The isokinetic temperature calculated by Leffler’s treatment is 527.2K, which is...

Synthesis, Characterization and Thermal Stability Study of Styrene-based Ionomers I) Programmed Heating Experiments (10 oC/min to 500 oC)

Ionomers are generally described by copolymers having either acrylic or methacylic acid as one component and the other component is mostly either ethylene or styrene. The objective of this research was to study the thermal behaviour and stability of ionomers of styrene with some alkali metal acrylates. These materials have been synthesized by neutralization of the respective copoly...

Some Recent Developments on the Synthesis, Chemical Reactivity, and Theoretical Studies of Tetroxanes

The authors present a review on some recent developments on the synthesis, chemical reactivity and theoretical studies of Tetroxanes analysing their main physical chemistry properties. The authors examine the critical points of the PES of different conformers, and reaction paths at singlet ground state and triplet state of the tetroxane, leader member of the cyclic diperoxide compound family. D...

Study of Optical Properties, Thermal Kinetic Decomposition and Stability of Coated PETN-Litholrubine nano-Composite via Solvent/None-Solvent Method Using Taguchi Experimental Design

In this research, in order to coating PETN particles, nano-pigment of redlitholrubine B 57:1 (NLR) was used in a surfactant environment of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) using solvent/none-solvent (water-acetone) method. Afterstructural studies of PETN-NLR nanocomposite by infrared (FT-IR) and field emissionscanning electron microscopy-Energy dispersive X-ray (FES...
